The idea of the Lunar Ephemerides is that we
project all planets positions not onto the ecliptic, but onto the the plane
of the lunar orbit. The origin of coordinates (0 degree of tropical lunar
longitude) is the point of the intersection between lunar plane and
Earth's equator, it's just the same idea as with the usual solar tropical
zodiac. The plane of the lunar orbit has been divided onto the 28 equal
sections (nakshatras) and each of them has been divided onto the 28 lunar
degrees, and each lunar degree has been divided onto the 28 lunar minutes.
This is the representation of the coordinates of the planets in this ephemerides.
